Can I ask does anyone know what kennels do with their dog waste? Do they have to have a seperate septic tank and can you link into an existing one, thanks for any replies

Our dog waste goes into the same septic tank along with the Human waste, the waste company who come to empty our tank only ask that you inform them if there is a mix of dog and human. They charge us £10 extra to empty the mixed waste.

I worked at two kennels when I was younger, one put the dog waste on their compost heap and it got spread on the fields when rotten and the other bagged it up and took it to the tip.  I have a dog poo wormery for mine (only 4 house dogs).

My friend who had kennels use to have a special bin that the council collected regularly and took away, but charged an arm and a leg for it ;-)
