Just wanted to ask one little question .
Pups are reknowned for eating and destroying - some more than others .
My pup has only really eaten the odd shoe .If he hasnt touched anything in the house so far would you say we are lucky ? He is 13 weeks old at present - so do you think we will get away from him being destructive or does it come later when he will be getting his bigger teeth at say 6 months ??

It can creep up on you lel ;) Hudson didn't really chew much until he got older ...but you may be lucky :)

my girl didn't start to chew until about 5 months. Thankfully so far its very selective, books and credit cards! These can be put out of reach.

Our pup started to chew when teething - favourite thing was the skirting board - which you can't move and have in every room :( :(

That's why a crate is so useful. When she was in a chewing mood (they seemed to come and go as the new teeth came though), she had to be put in the crate every time that she was left (even for 5 minutes), otherwise she would be firmly attached to it when I came back :D She was only allowed in the kitchen and we do intend to do the kitchen up when she is older and well past any chewing. She is now 8 months and seems to have stopped chewing (apart from bones).

Morgan hasn't really destroyed anything major either. In saying that, if it had been my mobile phone that he got rather than my fiancee's I'd probably be telling you another story :D I did catch him the other day sneaking a sly nibble at the skirting board but gave him a good telling off and he hasn't been back since - it probably didn't taste that good anyway! :-)

Each of my friends Dobes when around 7 to 9 months have taken to chewing up the kitchen. both chewed the wood panneling and an armchair, and the latest one pulled uyp and tore up the lino.

My God, don't tell me I should be thankful for the Mock on this score (for a change !!!!!!!!)

Taiko got a taste for the rubber seal on the UPVC door, I'm not sure if it was the taste or the pulling it off in huge strips. I'm always replacing his toys, he loves the squeakies but once he's broken through they go in the bin as I don't want him swallowing any plastic/rubber. He targets the cats bowl every so often but usually attempts to bury it after a vengeful chew. On the whole though he's quite good. He ran around the garden with my knickers this morning but didn't chew them. :D

I hope you weren't wearing them at the time! :D :p

Thankfully no :D He'd grabbed them from the clean laundry I was taking upstairs. Being a married Mother I confess I like my comfy big knickers, fortunately these ones weren't my usual sensible ones, the poor nieghbour probably thinks I'm using my pooch to seduce her man! :D

Hudson waits for the dirty washing to come downstairs ...so he can grab a sock!

Our puppy was never much of a destroyer of things (although he's has several memorable moments, including a laptop computer and a wallet). He prefers his bones because he gets so much praise when chewing them!

You have not got there yet Lel. It usually starts when they start teething! Sorry to tell you that!

Broxi has almost stripped the wall paper of the kitchen, i am now going to let him loose in the hall and the living room to see if he can do a better job than me. Apart from wall paper its just the usual, skirting boards and doors and kitchen units. but the kitchen will be getting replaced eventually. He wont chew any other furniture etc apart from his toys.
