Hi Everyone

Just wanted to ask about your experiences of feeling/seeing puppies move, My girl is 56 days today and I haven't seen or felt any movement, is this normal ?

Emma

I have known of people who never see them move, although I believe that it is breed dependent.  So don't worry too much about it.  Don't keep feeling!  You may stress her out.  :-)

As pups are perfectly viable now, she can go into labour at any time.  Lots of bitches only carry for 8 weeks, so make sure that she is not left unattended now.

Heya Emma,

My girl is on day 59 small breed and Ive only just started to see little flicks and twitches.  Thats when she is standing up, she just wont keep still and lie down for me to look any other time lol.  I was worried too so I hope thats put your mind at ease a little :) Is your girl showing any signs yet?  Mine does on a night and then goes back to normal in the morning, shes got me on eggshells at the minute x

Hiya Lolas Mummy :)

Aww thanks that has put my mind at ease, Im not really seeing any signs yet, she has been scrapping at her bed a bit and she lost a small amount of stringy discharge this morning but I have read it can be a few days after that so fingers crossed she will hang on to them a bit longer, I know how you feel though, Im on eggshells too x

Well Lola had me up at 3 this morning panting and burying in her bed.  I took her out to go toilet and she was at it until half past 5, she then got back in bed and started snoring?? Woke up this morning and she has wolfed her food down.  Shes been losing the stringy discharge for a while now. Hows your girl today? x

The pups are more active when the bitch is asleep,I slide my hand under her belly and feel the pups moving that way.

Then as the pups get lined up for exit you will sometimes see lumps and bumps, depends on how much room there is, my girls have only had 3's in a small breed.
