Hi

My bitch is now 10 years old and has been spayed for a good 5 years.  The problem we have is that she seems to be weeing on her bed or sometimes get off her bed and wees on the floor when she has usually been a very clean dog hanging on for as long as possible.  At first I thought she was being lazy as she can get out to the garden, then I thought it could have been our dog marking the bed etc however I have since separated them in order to narrow it down and it is the bitch.  I took her to the vets a few months back and was prescribed propalin syrup which seemed to help initially however it doesn't seem to be helping now, therefore I wonder if you could reccomend any other medications that have been successful for you? I can only imagine that it is incontinence as she would not normally mark her bedding in any way?

A combo of Propalin and Inurin often helps.
Getting the balance right, to give the least meds, just takes a little trial and error but my nearly 13 year old is pretty dry now.

If a bitch is overweight, it seems to make it worse. It's also worth encouraging her to go out for a pee fairly frequently
