I agree ChinaBlue it seems that there are posters who take delight in jumping between threads goading people.Then again I suppose it takes all sorts.

Please stop the personal comments.  I have not subjected you to any rudeness so I do not think they are justified.

As I have already said, it does not make any difference as the same point I wished to make applies to the original quote. which is the one I cut and pasted. 
As Jeff says this is all rather pointless. 
The facts are I am pleased the neighbour recorded evidence and that the RSPCA brought it to court.  I was not in court when the case was heard so I do not know what they made of the evidence or what the man had to say for himself so I cannot comment on the sentence given but I do not believe in internet campaigns, vigilante groups or anything else that threatens our justice system as it stands.  That's it really :)

Yes it is pointless, I agree. It makes a difference to me, since I do prefer accuracy when you quote me, not a rewrite putting your own slant on it, which you then claim to be cut and paste. Reasonable enough request I think in the circumstances. That's it really.

Yes, all forums have them, I believe there is even a name for them LOL. You are right, it takes all sorts to make a world. The trick is not to 'bite' but I haven't got the hang of that yet.

I did cut and paste the quote I was referring to when I said that, so no false claim, thank you very much :) 
I am quite happy for you not to accept the rewrite. It seems to infer the same meaning to me but fair enough, as I keep saying, my comments to stand on the first quote.
