Dose anyone know of a chiropractor who treat dogs in Essex not too far from Wickford, Essex

Tried couldn't find any animal ones

Didn't look properly found them but was hoping for one nearer.

It's worth asking them - my nearest animal one is about an hour from me, too far for me to go but she travels to the owner's home so it doesn't matter.

I have found one how careful do you have to be afterward as I have a champ show Friday and he has to be bathed Wednesday going to her Tuesday evening. Wondered whether to change it.

Any time my guys have been treated they've needed a couple of days being quiet, no charging about and no going up and down stairs.  Not sure about bathing - maybe best to ask her before you go.  It'd probably be ok I would think but best to be sure :-)

Do you go back to mornal after that going over the field for a walk etc. She going to do it tomorrow morning now so swimming should be ok wednesday hopefully.

I take my dogs to a mctimoney practioner twice a year and on leaving Margi always reminds me to keep the dogs quiet for 48 hours.

This entails no climbing stairs or off lead exercise and definitely no jumping off the furniture which is sooo difficult with the chins as they are always climbing and would give any mountain goat a good run for their money!!

I find that I need to put them in the puppy pen when I can't watch them but feel the benefits outway the 48 hrs of inconveinience

Do you think swimming is too much on Wednesday as had treatment today.

Should be ok I think, you'll have had just about a couple of days by then.

To answer the exercise question - I do still take them out but short walks in places I know they will be quiet, for the dogs that have just had a tweak; if I've had a dog needing major readjustment (such as Soli or Tia's first two treatments where they were a complete mess) then I won't walk them at all, and just give them chews/kongs etc for a couple of days.

Although I must confess I do let them go on the furniture, but supervise it so they step on and off, not leap!  They tend to get up then just sleep for ages though so they're not up and down a lot.

Do you got back to normal exercise after 2 days. How long would you wait to go over the field again where he would probably have a run?

Yep, I give em 2 days then back to normal stuff.
