i think it means a non group open show-eg not run on the group system-or an open show run on the group system, i dont think youre qualified, sorry, i hope im wrong :(

has been for a couple of years that you could qualify if you won B.I.S i think it may have started 2000. the rules in the crufts squedule says general open show so although i was at aopen show perhaps it does,nt count because it was gundogs i,ll have to ring the K/CLUB AND CHECK

Group show winners do Qualify, it says General or Group (not group system and non gropup system), so Congratualtions you do Qualify, but phone the KC to make sure. Tel. 0870 606 6750

Hello Jackie, Yes of course you are technically correct about the qualifying criteria not having been announced yet for 2004, however, this win has, as you know, been a qualifier for several years, and as things stand at the moment I have no reason to think that it will change for 2004. I was simply trying to be congratulatory and encouraging. I will be happy to stand corrected, if and when the time comes.I'll post an apology if neccessary.

You and me both John, the KC seem to be moving the goal posts all the time, so one never know if when you hear something if it's hear say or if they are "trying something new" again.

The latest is that BOB winners at Premium Open Shows will also qualify. Jackie

Help! What are Premium Open Shows??

They don't exist yet, but will be awarded to show societies who can prove to the KC that they offer a superior show for the exhibitors and fullful criterea laid down by the KC. Such things as venue, car park, food, breed judges and clasification, toilets and so no, to say nothing of their past ability to attract good entries. Jackie
