What are peoples experience of their bitches behaviour whilst in season.In particular do you find them slightly fractious and less tolerant of people at this time.Thanks in advance of replies. 

I find mine to be somewhat quieter and more 'grown-up', but very affectionate.

2 of my girls have been absolutely fine with no difference in their behaviour excl. the flirtiness mid season.
My other girl has been a complete nightmare....3 wks prior, during & another 3 wks post season she becomes aggressive & tetchy which has caused major problems with her randomly attacking my other dogs.  Its not any dog in particular, so i can't put it down to a personality clash, more like terrible hormonal problems.  I have had to get her spayed recently in the hope it will resolve her behaviour.  She is always absolutely sound with humans though.

Have had them become intolerant of canine campanions but generally as a season approached, not during.  Never had a problem towards humans though.  I think I would find that worrying and would probably have her checked over that all was well health wise.

Mine are usually fine without any noticable temperament changes.

We can have a toilet accident in the house prior to the season....it's usually the first sign they're coming in.

We can have humping off one particular bitch but other than that no changes.

There is a definite change of personality in my girl, both during her season and  for a few weeks afterwards. Before the season she becomes very affectionate to her humans and wants to cuddle up and lick us to death. Her relationship to her mum, however, is just the opposite. Mum would rather not stay in the same room as her hormonal daughter and gets a bit clingy to me. Daughter is very testy and narky with her mum and I think, if it wasnt for the fact that mum backs off and stays away from her, that there might be some hair flying. Things go back to normal after a month or so after the season ends, but it does seem like a long time.

Mine can be grumpy towards other dogs, even the ones they live with. I put it down to like a canine PMS as once the flirtyness starts they are usually quite happy and playful again, no change towards humans though. Another thing that mine sometimes do is become a bit grumpy with our other dogs again if they decided that they are pregnant (phantom)! If that starts then they become calm and very affectionate towards their humans but act as though they are above all this playing lark!!

Mine haven't changed at all tbh. Hetty was a bit quieter perhaps, but she's pretty quiet compared to Lottie anyway!
