I have a friend who has had Cavaliers for many years but used to have big dogs and is about to get a Golden Retriever puppy. She claims he'll only be a pet. It's her birthday and I wanted to get her something nice, she has everything imaginable with a Cavalier on, but I'm not sure what sort of thing she might need or want with a Goldie on. As she's got quite a few Cavs, she already has big enough dog beds, blankets, crates etc. Collars and leads are rather individual things that I don't think I'd want to try to pick out. I wondered about a necklace with a Goldie on, or perhaps something useful for the new puppy that she won't already have through having had smaller dogs. Any ideas? :-)

I agree collars are quite an individual/personal choice but Leuchtie Collars for the dark nights are brilliant.

Great idea Celtic lad - I have one & although it was expensive it's really excellent.  I think you can even get a goldie coloured one (sort of amber/yellow).

You could get a jumper/top with a golden on it, i brought myself a hoddy with a vallhund on it and a teshirt with a lhasa apso on it for a friend for cafepress. I was impressed with the price and its lasted throught a good few washes and is still looking perfect. they also do other stuff as well as cloths.

Oooh ooh, a voucher for a collar/lead!! www.kitschcollars.co.uk or Silver peacock do them. They specialise in hound collars but can make for all breeds. I have a whole pile of Kitsch collars and adore them.
