I just had the RSPCA VISIT MY HOUSE AS APPARENTLY I AM BEATING UP MY DOGS,,,!!!

I cant tell you how utterly flabbergasted i am , I new i had haters round my area but this is low,,, what a waste of the RSPCA'S TIME!!,,,

Of course she could see that my dogs are well cared for,,, Good lord i spend more on them than i do on me or my kid lol,,,,

i would never raise a hand to my babies let alone beat them,,, i cant believe their are so many malicious people out their who really must hate me that much and have no life of their own that they want to bring grief to my door in this way,,,,

I sure must be eating at  some jealous idiot while all im doing is living my life and everything's been going so great for us of late,,

i cant help feeling that im being watched now by some very sick nasty person who has nothing better to do with their time,

My daughter had this as well,
Rspca turned up at her door,had reports that she was leaving her dog for long hours whilst she was at work & that he was under fed.
She was sharing her house with her big brother,he worked nights so was there all day every day & the dog was a rangy adolesent Gsd ,the officer  took one look & said someone had to much time  just causing trouble,there was nothing wrong with the dog he was still growing. the dog had food & water down for him in kitchen & someone to take or let him out when he wanted to go .Take no notice ,do not worry about small minded people,
That said until the Rspca attend they do not know what is happening so are only doing their job .They do find some animals in terrible states & sometimes its only joe public calling them that anything is done .

Gosh, how nasty!!! I was shocked enough when I had a letter from the council complaining I was using my residence as a business. I explained it was one room used for my dogs and a few others part time and they said that was fine. I would be horrified to get welfare complaints!!!

Its a horrid feeling isn't it - I had similar but the complaint was that I had several skinny, flea ridden terriers. When I asked how many is 'several' and could they describe them, apparently it was three brown terriers. She couldn't explain how they could see they were flea ridden...

Anyway I just said well, I haven't got ANY brown terriers, I have FIVE dogs, only one is a terrier x and hes mainly black, the others are lurchers, a Tibetan Terrier who is black, and  a Deerhound..

She declined to visit in the end as it was clear the complaint was malicious and based in fantasy.

Yup, if you have a multi-dog house, you are obliged to get reported to the RSPCA.  I locked my dogs in cages and never gave them food or water when, in fact, they where kennelled outside at the time(that was the cage), they had full buckets of clean water each and when the officer came around to meet my dogs, I stood them to show him not only how well trained they were but so she could feel the muscles on my never walked dogs!!  Honestly, I ask you!
I also got a complaint about barking which the council followed up and found to be untrue as well.
I wonder why people do this? What difference is it to these people how many dogs I have?  I am a more responsible dog owner than most round here so why pick on me?
My new neighbours are much better and we talk all the time.  I went to them when we moved in and explained that although I have more dogs than the average person, if they caused any upset to anyone, just to let me know and I would try and sort it. I've not had a murmur in 8 yrs I've been here.  But the good thing was, after we moved away, their was a spate of burgularies with all my neighbours!! Serves them right!

this is exactly how i feel,, iv never raised a hand to my dogs,, i believe in Victoria stillwells methods of positive reward based training,, not a fan of ceser milan or the  RSPCA,,, 
I can honestly say to you All that i know for a fact that I am the Only one around my area picking up my dogs poo,,,, I know this as i see in the poo bins my same bag i put in from the day before all the time,, and i Never have seen Anyone else picking up at all,,,

Thanks to the people on this site my dogs are insured 3 party as it was on here a member told about becoming a member of dog trust entitles you to this,, I have been a member ever since and that was some years ago,,, i also love the fact that me and hubby dont outlive our dogs the dog trust will take them and try to rehome them,,,whats the RSPCA GOING TO DO WITH THEM PTTS MORE LIKELY,,

I told the women this and she took all our details,, dogs names and ages our names and number,, she seemed satisfied said my dogs look fine and well happy,,, (of course they  do co everyone that comes here gets licked to bits (maybe a friendly pinch from our ellie belly)

I know they have to follow these things up,,,, just cant believe how sad people are they really have nothing better in their lifes to do,, and its funny how everything in our house hold has been going wonderful lately life is good,, wonder if people see you getting on and get jealous of you being happy and getting on good,,

then part of me feels like i have a stalker out their watching everything i do thats a horrible feeling,, even tho i am doing nothing wrong,,,i wouldn't give them the satisfaction of letting them see me walk past and not picking up my dogs mess or what ever even if i am the only one on this estate doing picking up!,,,

Please don't worry, apparently we shut our dogs outside all day every day whatever the weather, and leave them shivering without food.

As we are with them all day ( we work from home ) we do sometimes open the door and LEAVE it open so they can go out or stop in as they please, most of the time they are lounging round the office with us, or asleep on our bed ( or in it as well ) They couldn't have an easier life or a softer time, in fact they are all spoilt rotten. Yet our charming neighbours felt the need to call the RSPCA and waste their time.

Don't let it get to you, the people that do this deserve to be pitied as they must have such a boring sad life they deserve pity.

Oh my goodness! How do people come up with these things?! 23 dogs in a shower lol! People definitely have too much time on their hands if they're thinking up stories like that to report to the RSPCA.

We've been accused of all sorts over the years, all totally unfounded, it's got to the stage that the Council don't even bother writting to us anymore, they just file it away under malicious mail.

yes im feeling a bit victimized now as was only the other week i had a women from the estate come over to my house who told me that i had been reported to the police at a tenants meeting for not having my rottie on lead in the dog area,, doh,,,,  i do feel someones now got it in for me,,,
people are sad really i am trying to narrow down who on our estate would do something like that,,
cant see the dog hating 84 year old women who lives their wasting the rspca's time,,
then again this women films and takes pictures of the kids on the estate while they are playing incase the do something wrong,,

or could it have been the very same lady who came here to warn me that i had been reported to police,, by the 84 yr old,,

this women drinks alot and is known as the local drunk,, the day she came here she was off her face,,
my hubby thinks its her,, no doubt in his mind,, me im looking at everyone now even those who smile sweetly at you in the street,, cant help it,,

oh well im off here now going to take my rottie over the dog area with his football heehee that'll pee off my hater a bit more wont it ;-)

I agree, if you have more than one or two dogs you're bound to have complaints - some people seem to think that the very fact that you've more than 'usual' will mean that you're found guilty....

I've had the RSPCA turn up at work saying my dogs were left in the van for hours - I laughed and said come and see - he said 'they're not there are they?' - I said - no it's a hot day, all the windows are shut, if they had been there the windows would be open, the sun screen up and I'd have been out every hour.. but it's too hot today'  He looked at the van, saw the water bowls, beds, caging etc and went away saying they'd ring if they had more malicious calls....

I've had the council ring to say I was a puppy farmer - I said they could visit, all my litter had gone but I had one back for a holiday - I sent them photos of the pups, the house etc and never heard from them....

My neighbour did put in a complete pack of lies which the courts believed and I have a criminal record for a dog bite which never happened....(DDA of course!)

My other neighbour tried to cash in on the above - conducted a campain of abuse against me and my dogs (throwing buckets of water, setting off air horns etc) fortunately some of this was witnessed and they had to admit they'd done this (although they said it was designed to stop the dogs barking... somewhat strange!) and they subsequently put in a complaint about the barking which they had to withdraw as they couldn't prove anything - I asked for monitoring equipment which of course would have picked up their shouting/door slamming activities.  My visitors notice the door slamming - and when I went away my dog sitter noticed that as soon as they realised I wasn't there the slamming stopped - he noticed it had resumed when he visited a week later!!!

So, don't take it personally, it's just cos you've got a 'few' dogs ;-)

How nasty of someone, and re: the above statement that is what you are left with isn't it, looking through your curtains wondering who it is? It is a horrible feeling.

Let me put your mind at rest. :-)

The person who did this is very likely someone with no life and is jealous of what you have, they are someone who you would never notice if you walked straight past them, they are  not anyone to be afraid of quite the opposite would probably run and hide if you spoke to them.

They will now spend their time worrying if you are able to trace them and know who they are........

So don't worry about them, you would probably laugh if you knew who it was, but, I know that is the curse of not knowing......... just smile and get on with your life, if they call again leave the RSPCA to sort them out they do not like their time being wasted either.

It is amazing what people report and why they do it, sometimes I think they are just misinformed or have a heightened idea of what is cruel and what is not. Some people think to have dogs kennelled or sometimes in cages is cruel, some think dogs should be walked endlessly and some that they should never be left even for a couple of hours.

I have been lucky and I have only been reported once, I knew who did it and that was a self opinionated customer who would not be told that my dogs were not wolf crosses and were kept in kennels at work not because they were dangerous but to avoid them knocking customers flying in their enthusiasm to greet them.

He reported us to the dog warden who luckily knew an Elkhound when he saw one and though the whole thing funny. He contacted the reporting chap and told him the were Elkhounds and not a cross, so that made it clear to him, not a bit of it he still spread it around that they were half wolf, there is no dealing with idiots too dense to deal with, don't let it upset you it is them that have the problem not you.

This results in suspicion and mistaken conjecture regarding the identity of the complainant, which is what happened in my case. Not a happy situation ! I still get anxious if my dogs bark, for whatever reason even though my lovely neighbours have assured me that they are not a problem.

Can you imagine the unhappy situation if they did reveal their sources! :)
Yes, a lot will be spurious if not down right malicious but how many real situations would go unreported if people become fearful of reprisals.

Good point Stooge.  I felt aggrieved because the charges were so malicious  and mentioned puppy farming (one tenderly reared litter  ) and' constant ' barking ( occasional and particularly when intruders from local drug den crossed the garden ) .

It is a horrible feeling though.  I had recent involvement with the dog warden (who was great incidently) but it has left me really suspicious and as a result my dogs get far less exercise than they have ever had as I don't know who it was that made the complaints so don't know who to avoid.  After spending ages torturing myself about who it could be and whether it is someone who speaks to me and has been really two faced about it or someone who doesn't speak to me/has never met me but has particular prejudices against my chosen breeds, I have a short list of those I suspect but can't be sure.  The wardens told me that they can't stop people complaining but it does leave you feeling very victimised.

yes i feel victimized as you say i think that's natural really since was only few weeks ago i was apparently reported to the police also for not having my dog on lead,,

but the police told this person their was no law saying i had to lead my dog in the dog area,, thats what its for,,,,

I was taking me dogs out one at a time to get the minds of the informant guessing, and on the first dog walk i see him  he tried to hide,,, the second time i went out with bully boy ,, i see him going into the block next to him where the old women lives,,,,

i get the feeling the first time i see him he wanted to go into that block but wouldnt as i was their,,,, then of course he didnt expect to see me again and i caught him going into the block, he looked very cagey ,,,,

im guessing he wanted to see the women to say ,,he'd just seen me and i was a dog short,,,,

well ali-it,, i am going the opposite i am taking my dogs out more now I have nothing to hide and am doing nothing wrong they dont like it tough!! their problem,,,,

im also on a mission to get myself a tee-shirt with HATERS!!,,,Funny how the people who know you the least have the most to say about you!,,, im getting that printed on a tee shirt and will be walking my dogs round my estate with pride wearing it!! haha,,,, Bring it on Haters,,,,loool
