heres my dilema
pups born three and half weeks ago so reg them online as wanted to get them on abs list
NOT SO about 5 days ago had an email saying stud dogs eye test not up to date, so contacted stud dog owner no problem was getting it done straight away which she did
Still pups not on list or reg so i,m on the phone again to k/c OH! we dont have stud dogs microchip number (hey its on the copy of eye test sent to them ) anyway i got that and emailed that
STILL pupsa npt on list and not reg
ON the phone AGAIN
OH we dont have the stud dogs cert for FUCOSIDOSIS
.....NO of coursr they dont as thiod dog along with MANY others TESTED  before it was made compulsary because we knew there was a problem in our breed OH we dont have it on our health check tests ASwe know because the k/c refuse to put it on if they were tested bfore some date in 2008 (cant remember exact date) but we were told our tests WOULD be recorded but not on the health check list
Fair enough WE ALL have a certificate of test done bi Animal health
k/c said if we want it on their health test results we must pay to have it done AGAIN(NOT LIKELY)
So now ive had to send a copy of the stud dogs gonioscopy test along with my own stud dogs test as they say they havent got it on record
If i hadnt had allthe relevent tests done as the stud dog ive used has had done also i could have got my litter reg by now and on the k/c list

Although not the same but had a nightmare registering my litter. Couldn't do it online. KC saying they hadn't rec'd. paperwork. Money taken out of account when supposedly thet still hadn't received the paperwork.  Pups all in new homes now and still no papers.

I think 5 days is not a lot of time to process the paperwork is it? Not at all surprised the certificate with the microchip number had not passed through the external and internal mail system by the time you spoke on the phone again.
It is certainly a good thing that they require up to date certification.
How are you getting on with your paper work? ;)

Yes, because it is not about paper work but about supporting breeding to a certain standard.

Actually I found this story very encouraging, as it proves how much the KC DOES check up the health on pups from ABs! :)

I agree it proves they check the testing.

To be fair the results were out of date. I think we'd have plenty to say if they let registrations through without checking.

However, they should have told you all the details in the first instance to allow you to sort it all out in the one go.
