The pups are now 5 days old, however I've noticed one has had a runny bottom today. He's still feeding, and is quite active in finding the teat, and moving around, but should I just be keeping an eye on him to see how he goes, or ringing the vet asap? I don't know if it is out of the ordinary or not for new born'ish puppies to have upset tums

He's one of the smaller ones in the litter, and has gained weight, although not as much as his brothers or sisters, & in the last 24 hours, he seems to have been feeding more than in his first two days, so I'm wondering if it's cos he's perhaps having too much milk now compared to what he was, and this has upset his tummy a little? is that possible?

dont worry spud ive had this with EVERY litter and i use to rush to the vets , is it seedy and green?? ive found its to do with being greedy and over eating and mum having ate alot of placenters it can last for about 4ish days but if worried go to the vets has i can only say what ive seen with my litters ...all the best.

It wasn't green, but a toffee brown colour, and it was seedy. He's on the teat much more now, so I guess he's being a bit greedy, none of the others have had it, but I'll keep a closer eye on them all to be on the safe side
