Whens the right a age to breed from a cavalier?
If their fine in a health check and everything is of show dog standard bar a overlap on the teeth which is a bit more than show allows, will this affect our chances of breeding?

If she's 6 m/o then you have one year ahead of you to get everything straight, so don't worry - you would not want to breed her before her third season. Also, as of her bite fault you have to wait untill she's completely grown up to assess it as it can still improve, or worsen, with growth. Also the importance of different bite faults is very much breed specific. For instance, for Pugs : a bit of an excessive undershot bite would not disqualify a bitch from breeding, while the slightest overshot mouth would be a big no-no. So first thing you need to do is wait ... and then show her to an experienced breederfor assessment. In the meantime do as much reading as you can, about breeding, and also get to know lines and pedigrees in your breed.

When your girl is at least 12 months contact her breeder and ask them to look at her with a view to your breeding her, they should give you an idea as to if she is good enough to be used for breeding and the lines from which you should chose a sire.
