Hi all!
I have a beautiful female, who is currently 11days in season. My question is can pups be produced from slip matings and also what causes it? Lola has been mated to my proven male ub twice now with two slip matings! Both times I new my stud wasn't tied so I held him in till he started to go back in. I no for a fact that both times his semen went inside her. Lola is slightly smaller than ub and quiet compact. When mated ydai she made abit of a fuss however today she seemed to be perfectly happy with being mated. I can't work out why I can't get a tie as ub has previously tied all females who all produced big litters of over 7 :o. This is lolas first time of being mated.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you
maybe she is slightly early?? and he could tie with her soon!
and ment to say a litter can be produced from a slip mating.

Thanks white lily.
Yes I think she may be abit early however ub is a good judge to when a bitch is ready and showed no interest in Lola till yesterday. I still have quiet afew days of trying. But with both slip mating so far I have just put them side to side with him inside her till he went down so I no both times all semen went in. But hopefully il get this tie. Fingers crossed :)
the only thing is if she is slightly early the sperm could die before time but you have both dogs so you will be fine :)

You dont need to have a tie to produce puppies..my last litter of 5 was from a slip mating....
slip mating does produce puppies! But since you have the stud, might as well try for a tie. Good luck!
