I posted previously asking if anyone knew of a scanner in my area. Thank you to the person who advised me of a scanner in Somerset. I rang a vet in my area to book in for a scan, and was told that the vet would like to talk to me firstly. Ok i agreed of course to that, but was then told that if i asked too many in depth questions, whilst having the scan, then i would be charged an extra consultation fee on top of the scanning fee! Is this the norm?  Lost abit of faith, so looking for a lovely person to scan my beautiful mum to be.

Actually, that vet may well be doing you a favour, I get charged £30 for just walking through the door, I never get the consultation fee wavered at all. :-(

I'd jump on the chance to just have the scanning fee only and happily keep my mouth shut for a vet to just tell me positioning etc all look good and only talk about the scan. He's saving you money IMO not many vets doing that today. :-)

I'm not sure it's greedy - I expect they are simply warning you that it's a timed appointment and if you run over then that incurs an additional fee.

Which Vets did you use as I am in Bristol.  haven't scanned the last few times as hubby says the scan won't make them pregnant, but I am not the most patient and with a large waiting list would prefer to know sooner than later, as if it;s a negative prefer to disappoint people sooner and try to get them on another list.
