I was thinking about taking out a policy for with them for Daisy, I was with AXA for Spud, but they are so slow in coughing up, I've never yet had a claim from them that I haven't had to phone up and ask what was happening, and always have to wait up to 2 months for any cheques.
My home and car insurance are with Direct Line and never had any problems with claims, hoping their pet insurance is the same.

My lot are with Direct Line. Never had a problem with them paying up quickly. Over the last couple of years they have paid out more for one dog than I have paid in for two dogs.

My two are covered by Direct Line and I didn't have any problems when I had to make a claim, very prompt and efficient. One thing I did notice when I had my renewal was a section about bilateral conditions, anything that affects anything the dog has two of, e.g. eyes, hips. So to my reading if your dog had a problem with one eye you could claim but if the other eye then got the same problem that claim would be added to the first, this could affect your benefit limit. Don't know if other insurance companies have this, I don't think its very fair.
