My bitch is on day 56 today, she's due in a week. Last night I woke to find her digging like a crazy lady, I had been taking her temp for a few days and it never dropped below 38.1, and apart from 1 reading she's been consistently 38.1 but this morning I have taken her temp and she's 37.8.

Is this the drop? Or am I just impatient?

She's been a little unsettled but nothing major. She's not off her food but I have read that not all bitches go off their food. (my girl is pretty food obsessive!)

The drop tends to go down to around 36.5 it could be pups moving around and possibly lining up. Keep a close eye on her.

i was the same as you last week, girl had a show 1 week before puppies and small shows throughout the week
her temp was around 37.7 dropped to 37.4,
i too wasnt sure until 4,00am monday done her temp and it was 36.2 there was my drop she had puppies 5.25pm monday
so it will need to drop more than that good luck

ive even had a drop of 35.6 which i was worried about but all was well,she probly digging like that because she has small amonts of pain ie practise contrating/pups getting into place, all the best! only a week to go :)
