Strange ad for a KC assured breeder to be writing?

Sprollies - Springer/Collie Cross Hybrids
£295ea495pr

2 Gorgeous English Springer Spaniel / Border Collie Cross Hybrids or Sprollies as they are known in the Designer Dog World. Born on 11-11-11. Ready for the right home/homes now. Will split but would like to keep them together hence £295 each dog or £ 495 the pair. Bred for a great temperament and Intelligence. Would make a great working/agility dog or family pet. Wormed with Panacur Paste at 2, 5, 8 and 12 weeks. Fully innoculated with injections. Well socialised to other Dogs, Adults, Children and Cats. Beautiful nature. 1 girl Belle and 1 boy Ace. Lovely markings, both Tri Colour with the boy being wonderfully symmetrical with his markings. KC Assured Breeder with high standards of dog welfare. 24/7 advice given

Very strange indeed. I don't think the KC would be happy for their name to be used in that way.

They will so long as the same standards are applied to the crosses (health testing to relevant parent breeds), as after all one of their major breeders the Guide Dogs for the Blind cross breed, as do some breeders breeding Activity dogs.

Sorry but no one should be offering litter mates together let alone a dog and a bitch ----- we don't even do that with snakes folk are far too willing to 'take em off ya hands mate' for breeding purposes even if they say all the right things!

There's no mention of health screening , lovely markings, yada yada, non of that speaks of a dogs welfare to me.

yes very concerning that anyone would be actively encouraging both pups to go to the same home :-(  not something a reputable breeder would be doing - worth contacting the KC about this as if they're doing this what else are they doing? of course they may not actually be an assured breeder....

I agree it might not be best practice to sell two pups to the same home but they will not be the first 'reputable breeders' to have done so.

Actually I don't think it's a problem necessarily in selling two pups, depending on the pups and who you're selling to, I see the problem as advertising them for sale together, which is what I don't believe a 'reputable breeder' should be doing......

As they are now 5 months old one can understand why the breeder would prefer they were kept together and if they have been trained and socialised then there is not the problem there would be with pups of 8 weeks.

it would be a nightmare :-(

Could be but depends on the level of training they have had and who buys them.
