One of cleos boobs seems to be inverted the top one that is very small all the others are ok, is this normal or will the pups not be able to feed from the one that is inverted?

As Debbie's not on to answer your question yet, Cleo is a Rotty.

Deb, two of Maggie's were like that (her very back ones). I was told to use vaseline on hers to ease them out without them getting sore. One of them has now 'popped' and the other is not far off. Were Cleo's like that last time? Hope she's well :D

Grace cleos where not like that last time, she did get a milk infection when the pups where about 5 weeks dont know if that has anything to do with it. I will try the vaseline and see what happens, it is one of the nips right at the top like magies. She is well grace but sulking with me at the mo as i wouldnt take her to the footy this morning.

Hi Debbie

I think we all know by now that your bitch is pregnant and you don't need to keep emphasising the point as advertising is not permitted on this board and you seem to be coming close to it?

However to answer your question - did she have any trouble with the litter on her last season or did it come out when her milk came in as this is what normally happens. Do as someone else suggested and put some vaseline around it and then gently clean it as the inverted bit can get full of a sort of black grease when it is not in use.

I'm not one to interfere, but Debbie is not advertising that Cleo's pregnant again, she is merely asking a question. I note that you have advised her on this matter, which I'm sure she is grateful for.

Christine, i would not advertise the pups on here so please do not think that i am, I tell people that cleo is pregnant so that they know, like Russel he didnt know what breed cleo was, so christine if i was coming close to advertising i am sure admin would have informed me, it is not your job to do so.
And it was longer than 6 months ago when cleo had her last litter so please stop geting your little digs in to get a reaction from me it is common knowledge that you do not like the way i do things, i am asking a question but once again you have to bring up the past.

But thankyou for answering my question it did not know to put vaseline around her teat and i will try that.

Thanks lisa for answering Russel for me, i was at a footy match with bud, cleo couldnt come so she was at home sulking.

Grace dont panic about the food thing yet but keep an eye on her.

Just put vaseline on cleo, how many times should i do this? and should i still do this when the pups are here?

I think this is the first time I have come close to commenting regarding anyone else's breeding practices so not sure how it became common knowledge unless it is also considered to be common sense:)

However, in general, and not aimed at anyone in particular, I do think that all pedigree puppies should be registered with the Kennel Club or particular country's registry even if I don't always agree with everything that the official Kennel Club's stand for.

I also think that all potential breeding dogs/bitches should have all the health tests available for their specific breeds carried out before breeding is even considered, let alone carried out and also that they have been assessed as being close to the breed standard, I would also like to see that they were capable of their original purpose but this is often not practicable in this day and age. That breeders should bear some responsibility for the pups they breed, thoughout their life if this is practicable and that people should have to pass various tests for suitability to own let alone breed dogs.

Common Knowledge, what are you doing now christine, once again you drag up things that have nothing to do with the post that i have asked for advice. Leave the past alone and concentrate of the question that i have asked.

What i do christine is nothing to do with you i asked for help on tittys not on my breeding pracitses.
