ERGH ...
right here is all the details, i have a bitch who came in to season last december, she stopped and then started again two weeks later we sucessfully mated her on the 11th Jan( presuming split season), She had puppies the 14th March last year.

A cracking litter that has done me proud, and i would love to keep a girl this time!!

She HASN'T had a season yet, I have other bitches who have had two seasons since and she has been with them when they were in (with the vein hope of bringing her in also) but yet to no avail....

I have been suggested that we give her kelp as she may have a thyroid problem. So we are trying this, I think the next thing is a chat with my vet further. He has suggested to try kept for a month and if this doesn't work bring her in.

She is fit and healthy, loves her walks and dinner, ( we are feeding her more as kelp can cause weight loss).

Any suggestions or anyone had this before??

If she has a thyroid problem (you state she MAY have) is it fair to breed from her? I would get this sorted prior to making any decision on whether to breed from her or not. Personally I wouldn't breed, or even think about it, until given the all clear from the vets. We get slated enough from breeding from pedigree dogs to deliberately breed from a dog with, potentially, a serious health problem.
