Can someone please tell me why my entire male Leo is going crazy for my newly-neutered cat?  He has never paid it a moments attention before now, but I bring it home from the vets after being castrated and he's acting like it's a bitch in season.  He's pacing, drooling and whinging..............and driving me MAD!  Please tell me this will stop.

Could be the cat smells strange or that in the vets an in-season bitch was near the cat.

No doubt the smell of blood.

We brought our girl home from the vet a few weeks ago - she'd been there from early morning 'til afternoon. Our boy went absolutely crazy for her with his nose permanently glued to her rear! She is spayed, he is entire. We couldn't believe how he was acting, wanting to play, hump, whinging, climbing over me to get to her, licking her all the time -  had to time-out in the kitchen a couple of times! this went on until the next day - she's been in the vet's many times and he's never acted like this! We did say he was acting like she was in season, so I do wonder if she had been near another bitch while there!

Don't think I could ever cope with two opposite sex entires!!! :-D

Susie this had me in stitches earlier when I read you fb page.. Poor Murray and his none existant Sparkley Spangles.. Bizarre that Mojo isn't paying him any attention though...

I hope its stopped now!It reminded me of once, years ago,I had had my dogs anal glands emptied, and stood at the bus stop, which happened to be outside a cafe, when I noticed another male dog had come up and was happily mounting my poor dog.Of course, the blokes in the cafe were having a good laugh, and I couldnt wait for the bus to arrive!I assumed either the other dog had a serious problem,or it was the anal gland smell attracting him!

Thanks everyone, it seems to be wearing off, normal service resumes! :)  Bizarre behaviour though!
