Two pet shops selling puppies were breaking their license conditions. Well done to Harrow Council and all involved.

Well done Harrow, if this sort of place is closed down then the puppy farmers have one less outlet for their pups.
Lets hope that other councils take the same action.

Good news, if only third party selling could be made ilegal, it would go a long way into reducing the viability of puppy farming.

One of my cavaliers ,my ruby,
came from this pet shop in Hanwell.

She was purchased by an elderly lady,in her eighties, who had just lost an elderly cavalier. The lady couldn't cope with her as she was quite hyper compared to the little dog she'd previously had and so she handed her over to cavalier rescue when she was only 12 weeks old as needless to say the pet shop didn't want to know!

To be honest I think she was probably only about 8 or 9 weeks old and not 12 weeks when I got her.she looks like a poorly bred cav as she has a snipy muzzle and I think perhaps she has working cocker somewhere in her background.

Thankfully she has no health issues at present and is my grade 7 agility dog who I love and adore.

I'm so pleased to hear that this place has been shut down and admit I was tempted to go along to see it just to see where my dear little dog spent the early part of her life but decided not to upset myself by doing this.

would be fantastic if these sort of pet shops were made illegal

Hope they stay closed and do not reopen under new name. See they are still advertisning puppies though!

If they are still advertising puppies then this needs to be reported to the licensing officer at the council.

This is wonderful news as this was a HUGE outlet for puppies.
Well done Harrow Council!!
