I noticed yesterday my girl had a v.small amount of what looked like stringy mucus, pale-ish in colour, this was yesterday morning. I kept having a quick look through-out the day and also this morning, but haven't seen it again. I did have a smell around her back end, and I didn't notice any awful smell, and somewhere in my head, I thought I had read somewhere that it's not unusual for a bitch to have some sort of discharge around the 40 day mark. My bitch is now on 37. She's quite happy in herself, great appetite, just wonder if I should get her to my vets just in case?

sounds the norm to me but like anything if theres a smell or blood,if your worried take her to the vet all the best!

Hi Spudulike, my girl is on day 38 from 1st mating, so it looks like we'll be waiting together :) We had sticky, mucus like discharge on day 25, but nothing since, unless she'd cleaned herself before I got a chance to look. Have you scanned to confirm pregnancy?

Only if discharge is smelly.  All sounds perfectly normal to me.
