I have just been offered a job at Guildhall in Shrewsbury. Am struggling to find easiest/quickest way in by avoiding the town centre. I am coming from the A5 Telford. My sat nav took me right through centre which will be a nightmnare in middle of day when I am starting work. Any suggestions welcome please :-)

Set your sat nav to avoid certain roads and it will give direct you via another route

You were probabally going the shortest distance - you would have to take the A5 ring road all the way around to either junction of A49 Hereford rd and then at the Meole Brace roundabout go up the B4380 - up to the A488 and head into town that way - or to the next junction with the A488 and straight in.   The last time I approached town from that direction was when my Mum was in hospital and I left to go to my sisters the other side of town about 5 in the morning.  I was so tired and muddled about which way to go a policeman stopped me to see if I was drunk because I was driving slowly.  It has all changed since I went to school there!!!
