I can't see how you qualify as impartial if you have a opinion on the breeding of pedigree dogs when there's ones needing homes, to me that in itself is not impartial.

Boody, that is pretty much my reading of it.>

I didn't take her as luke warm, after all she said she has bred herself. I took that as a nod to those who feel that way but not being entirely convinced by the argument

So therefore for the job she was employed to do she was not impartial, I'm not saying she's not entitled to that opinion to some degree I agree but that definatly means for that particular job she was not impartial as she has a opinion. Surely they could find some that had no feeling either way.

AS Caroline Kisko said in an interview on Friday they dropped the ball on the recruitment of the vets, it "went inot abeyance" so the KC did not request the BVA to put a call out for volunteers till "late last year" and it was put in the Feb. edition of veterinary record.  From what I can find out only 3 applied, and they picked 2 of the 3.  Not  a big pool to pick from - and several people are making a case that perhaps those motivated to volunteer had a personal agenda one way or another, it being obvious that their decisions would hit the news - any decisions made woudl automatically be unpopular with one side of the other.

i think that would be hard to be honest. at the end of the day trained and experienced vets are going to have formed some opinions based on their training and personal experience. Unfortunately, it seems like (and forgive me if this is wrong, is just my experience) most vets are trained to be not big fans of pedigree dogs and breeding.

The KC do seem to have selected a vet who is at least a little involved in the dog world. Don't get me wrong, I still disapprove of the way that this business has been done, it is scaremongering and knee-jerk, but hearing the vets side was good, shes at least not a jemima-ist! Wouldn't mind knowing more of the reasons for the dismissals, particularly the mastiff.
