I bought a little bone shaped carrier with a clip and inside a roll of black scented poo bags from our local coop.
I bought a couple of spare rolls of bags and have found it very useful as it easily slips in a pocket bags are easy to get out and tie up really well to eliminate those wiffy odours.
I am running low and popped in earlier and they have stopped selling them.
The bone carrier thing doesnt have any trademark but the bags say petway on them. Any idea whether I can get them online as really don't want to go back to carrier bags as they take up too much room and don't seal well enough so have the smell walking with me for most of he walk as poos happen early into the walk and the poo bins are not that frequent in the village !
Thanks
Lucy

Those Dunelm poop bags in the picture - the box of 200.........we have them at the mo - awful things. Really flimsy so I wouldn't recommend.

Nappy sacks are the best :) Tie handles and perfumed :) I just stuff a few 'opened' bags in my pocket (why is it that pocket seems to have poobags and treats in them ?? ). Poo bag holders aren't much use IMO, particularly in bad weather when I have a coat on :) :) I like the bags to be already opened particularly when I have one dog that insists on pooing in the road on a bend :) :)

That is what the ratings have said . The bags I have are even better than nappy bags both in strength and smell !

The tesco value nappy sacks not much over 50p for 200 I find very good for whet my lot produce. Just stuff about 20 in my pocket at a time.

Must be a real skinflint but have never bought poo bags, am I the only one to use the fruit & veg bags from grocery shopping?

Have to have handles I can tie, when I walk five, and of course Jozi ends up using up about three to herself as she never goes all at once.

My local tesco regularly stock these, so do wilkinsons. I leave the holder attached to my dog's outdoor collars so I always have bags. Saying that I always have bags everywhere, pockets, bags, buggy, car... I also refill using nappy sacks.

I find them a bit thin, particularly if you have to put a full one in your pocket (and coloured bags hide the content) :) :)
> (why is it that pocket seems to have poobags and treats in them ?? )
and why is it always at the most embarrassing moment that you pull them out of your pocket or they fall on the floor ??!! In a nightclub getting my coat for example lol :-)

Lol, know that feeling :). I also tend to open the bags before going out, as with having 3 dogs all pooing in sync can be a bit embarrasing when I'm struggling to open the things! lol!
The only reason I buy proper poo bags at the moment is that they're biodegradable (the ones I buy), but have to admit I don't enjoy picking up warm poo with such thin bags!
Tesco used to sell scented degradable nappy sacs, they even had them on offer so I stocked up, then the next time I went to buy them they weren't there! I like nappy sacs because they're bigger generally than dog poo bags, not so much risk of touching the poo with a bare hand when the dog's done a big jobbie!!
Maybe they do them in the £ shop or Wilkinsons?

Our Tesco's still sell the degradable nappy sacks. They are nice thick blue ones and actually seem to work out cheaper than the increasingly thin ones you get in bulk in a box (eg from the Pound shop). Don't the fruit and veg bags in the supermarket tend to have perforated holes at the bottom in the event of norty kids trying to suffocate themselves?

In Fife we used to get free poo bags, used to get them in the post office, I still have rather a lot as I used to pick up a roll every time I went in. Really thick with tie handles, no scent though.
I used to buy nappy sacks from the pound shop, until the time I bought a box and several of the bags weren't sealed at the bottom and my hand went right through, luckily I noticed before picking up! It put me off buying cheap nappy sacks....

Yes our PO also does free bags but again not in a roll and not scented which I really want.
Still been searching but no luck yet for online shopping.
Thanks for every bodies help so far :-)

I'm sure B&M's used to sell similiar don't know if they still do.

I did a search for "dogpoopbags" for myself and have found some extremely good quality ones with handles, in Laurencekirk Aberdeenshire, post is FREE, the more you buy the very much cheaper they get. Also the "Pedigree" ones are very good too. With a messy job like poo picking I think it is well worth spending a little more rather than using two cheap bags at a time or carrier bags that sometimes have ventilation holes in them, how unplesant when your fingers go through thin bags UGH!

P&K council and Dundee council give free bags but they are very thin now, its easy to put a nail through them! :-/

I have actually purchased some of these bags from Aberdeenshire and they are very strong although not pink and scented! An excellent purchase good value for money. Their number; 01561 378462
the poo bags i buy are from wilkinsons they have handles, are strong and come on a roll ,there black with paw prints on i think lol wouldnt use any different.

I've just stocked up on Tesco nappy sacks, 26p for 75 degradable odour neutralising scented bags with tie handles. They do a great job with no fear of rupturing in use. I've tried others but prefer these as many others are too thin and can result in an unmentionably disgusting outcome!
> I've just stocked up on Tesco nappy sacks, 26p for 75 degradable odour neutralising scented bags with tie handles
Ooohhhh, up here they're 30p for 75 degradable tesco nappy sacks! Cheeky beggars!

Oh yuk ! I couldn't possibly imagine using those very thin bags, SORRY but I need something a little more substantial. Poo picking is not the most plesant of pastimes and neither are all those very thin bags. I would rather pay for a little more comfort of reassurance. You are very brave people!
To wee mann The Tesco degradable bags aren't the thin bags! It's the peach/orange Tesco value bags that are the thin ones, I know this as once bought them as they were the only ones on the shelf - never again, nails go through them!! The blue degradable ones are much thicker, much better than the black dog poop bags sold in pet shops/supermarkets.

OK, I will have a look in my local Tesco it is always worth a try, it was the orange/peach ones that I once tried, I threw the whole packet away! Just thought that all the nappy bags were very similar, I will look for the blue ones and try them.
I use the cheap nappy bags (Sainsbury's at the mo) and find the Easi-Scoop frame ideal for picking up poos, (and even broken glass from the footpath) without danger of getting the stuff on my hands. It's made by Pedigree and there are quite a number of online suppliers, although it's not always easy to find in the shops. The bag fits over the frame and is open and ready to use, there's a sort of plastic spring thing at the top which lets it clip closed, and opens to pick up the stuff. Using the thin bags, I can get two on the frame. I take a dark-coloured carrier bag with me (the posher the shop the better!) to mask the filled bag until I reach a bin. I haven't yet got to the stage of the elderly lady I heard about, who used to use an old handbag to put the full bag into - she really had a good laugh the day her bag was snatched!

the tesco ones are in a yellow packet (well here they are ) and the other ones are in a white packet but here they are pale green :/ i HATE the cheaper ones they are no use at alll !!!

merry paws - that has made my evening the mental image i have of that idiot when he gleefully looked in side the bag to see what he had got away with and found a bag full of s*** eeeee sooo funny :D

I am cracking up here! I do so love dog people, they talk so much about poo.
itsadogslife
Thanks so much for the laugh.

Lol Jean, but isn't that just THE WORST!!
Its a fascinating subject isnt it!Like how I love garden clean up time in winter with easy frozen poo!Unless its frozen to the ground
!There is a walk I go on ,where past a certain point, there are no bins for the entire walk,I have been known to carry "it" a couple of miles round the woods.Either that,or leave it somewhere and try to remember to pick it up on the way home!
