On the back of another thread, how do you change your Kennel name?
Do you have to let your first one lapse and start again with a registration fee, or do you notify the KC with your selection of 6 new names and they charge you an admin fee to change it?
If so does anyone know how much the fee would be?
Along with alot of others mine was chosen in haste and at the bottom of the list presented to the KC without any thoughts of it being granted. It's a mish mash of letters from our names and sounds like gibberish!
Unless things have changed recently, (and they may have) you need to take a completely new affix out so it will be the full registration price again and just allow the previous one to lapse. :-)
I guess it is a misrepresentation for those of us who keep saying we 'changed it', as we actually didn't we just took out a new one and let go of the old. :-D

I have just done this as I wanted a different Affix for my show dogs and done a complete new application, I would just have to let the other one go if I don't want it anymore. I got my first Affix 8 years ago and it was still the same price when I applied for this one, which I thought was really good of the Kennel Club. It was £70.

I did actually change my kennel name, we got given our 3rd choice which I really didn't like so I contacted the kennel club and had to return my certificate and write a covering letter and pay an admin fee of £25 and changed it to something not on my original list at all. Obviously we hadn't actually used the name as it had only been a few days.
Depending on time of year I think sometimes you can have a few weeks before it is printed in the book, once that happens and the name is properly declared you would have to start again. :-)
