hi just a bit of advice needed,

My 4 year old bitch ate an entire loaf of wholemeal bread today!

do we just leave her and let nature do its course or help in some way ?? she is fed on a raw diet! i am not going to feed her her dinner tonight (maybe just some fruit later) she is still licking crumbs off the floor like she hasn't eaten all day tho?!!

any advice or just let nature carry on??

don't think i'd add fruit to the fermenting concoction already going through. believe me the bread will go through....

My friend's dog scoffed 4 dozen bread rolls once (friend was preparing to cater a barbeque)...he was fine and looked most offended when he wasn't offered his dinner that night.

I second the post saying not to give any fruit - it could only make things worse!

My last dog found an entire Victoria sponge cake in the park one day. She picked the whole thing up and ran off with it. I had to chase after her, stamping any bits she dropped into the grass to stop her eating them. She managed to eat virtually the whole cake.

Surprisingly she didn't get an upset tum, but was very thirsty all night.

Just make sure you provide plenty of water as bread contains quite a lot of salt.

Yes, back when I had just the two they scoffed a loaf of bread between them, no ill effects!

Well, my Liffey ( The Golden Pig) has eaten :

1. Entire crop of grapes from 3 vines.
2.Entire crop of strawberries from at least 6 bushes.
3. Half our pork joint one Xmas.
4.The Turkey carcass the following Xmas.
5. A Coconut Gateau purchased from a posh patisserie while living in France.She managed to extract it from its box and devoured it without damaging the package. We had no idea of her crime until we were about to serve our guests.
6. Chocolate Easter eggs stolen from my children at various times -they have not forgiven this.
7. About a litre of Goose Fat the Xmas we had a goose - the aftermath of that one was not pleasant
I could go on. She remains healthy and apart from the above, she suffered no ill effects whatsoever.
