Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know) but since January my 10.5 year old has had 3 ops, 1 for biopsy on back foot, 2nd to take off a back toe, pretty easy recovery, and the 3rd was a sudden growth above her brake pad front foot. This one was more problematical as the lumps were big and there was no skin left to close up so I've had to take her back every 2-3 days for bandage changes. Initially you could see tendons etc, it looked like a 3rd degree burn but on our last visit on Friday we can now see light at the end of the tunnel! Chemo was mentioned by one vet but another said if she was his dog he wouldn't go down that route so because of her age and the side effects I agree with him and so long as she's well and happy we're just going to carry on as normal.
I just hope she makes the same age as her mother (14.5).
Where are the MCTs on your dog? Hopefully you have caught them in time before theyve got too bad. I tried not to read too much on the Internet as it was too worrying!
