I'm off to Crufts tomorrow and have been reading the other thread with interest about too good to miss offers. Am compiling a list!

I want to buy some new thinning scissors whilst there, and wondered if anyone can recommend a good, not too expensive make which will be selling there. I know Diamond Edge will be taking scissors for sharpening, can thinning scissors be sharpened? I'm not sure, but currently have a good pair which are blunt. This could be another option, although I've got a Ch Show next weekend so wouldn't be able to be left with no scissors at all!

Roseline are usually a safe bet.  I bought mine 4 yrs ago from Dezynadog for about £40.
Several people i know use this brand.

Diamond Edge will post them back to you but they may find it difficult to offer a quick turn round at Crufts.

I've always relied on Simpsons to do me a very good deal on new scissors.  Not sure what they're like these days but if you need new ones, then I'd certainly put them on your list to see. :)

Thanks for the replies folks, it seems Diamond Edge do sharpen thinning scissors, so I'll take them along in my bag and hopefully come home with some new ones too... off to find out where they'll all be now lol!

Christies will also be there and do a good range of scissors. Redcape will also sharpen your thinning scissors they are Hall 5

I think I got mine from HUB, which was in Hall 5 last time..

Mine are all Roseline, I got them from Simpsons and they've lasted me 8 years so far.
