I am not sure if something has changed on here or if my computer has installed something without me knowing but all of a sudden certain words are highlighted in posts and when my mouse moves over the word a little window pops up telling me how to win an iphone or something. Anyone else having problems with this or is it just me?
Edited to add the word win in my post seems to have become a link and it is not something I have done. Help please

I don't know, but you could try going to 'Options' and using the 'Remove Adverts' option - might work :)
that is already done. :(
Is it just me having this problem?

These adverts aren't appearing for me in any threads now. There was a new thread that appeared yesterday, titled something like 'cleaning a crate'. There was a random hyperlink in the text of that post and the thread seems to have disappeared now. I didn't click the link as assumed it was dodgy.
I did click on the link but it went to a site selling crates. could that have installed someting on my pc?

Sounds like it has installed some sort of malware - the post seemed a bit suspicious as it didn't relate to any question anyone had asked and the posters ip address was in china. You can download free software to remove it, but you need to be careful finding it as some of the supposed cleanup programmes you'll find online are just as bad.
I use a virus scanner which was recommended by the gadget guru on LBC - it's free and it's called AVG. You might need something which targets adware though.
There are some good suggested downloads to clean your pc on the gadget gurus page on the LBC website (lbc.co.uk). Lbc is a radio station and the gadget guru is a guy who gives out technical advice on some of their programmes. I'd post you a link to it, but I guess you'll be v suspicious of following links right now! You can easily find the lbc site via google and the gadget gurus page is in the navigation under 'shows'.
Years ago I accidentally downloaded malicious adware like this and it took ages to find a solution, so hopefully one of his recommended downloads will sort it for you. You're safest to follow the links he provides rather than googling it for yourself.
well not sure what caused it but have done a system restore which has solved the problem. I won't click on any more suspect links.
Help needed.
I want to take up sled dog racing, but would like to use breeds not normally associated with the sport. anyone got any thoughts/advice on the subject please?

Hello Dogmanjack, i'd say start your own thread in general discussions. there are a few sled breed people online who might have some advise, i remember huskygal talking about some standard poodles that did the iditarod once, so it is possible

Dogmanjack,
Ive started a new topic for you (so you'll get more replies!)
If you click on this blue link, it will take you to your new threa for your question (and i've put some info on it for you)
