Hi Guys,

I have a 10 mth puppy here, last friday my boy was paying her attention so i tissued her and there was a tiny amount of discharge but kinda tacky, the same on saturday. Since then there has been nothing at all and no interest from my boy at all, could this be a false start or a silent season do you think. I have not had this from my other girls before. I will add ive seperated her from my boy in the meantime.

The big problem is, she is due at Crufts on Sunday so looks like she may not be going.

:(

If the discharge was not brownish/pink/red then it may just have been puppy vaginitis (yoru description of tacky makes me feel ti is this) quite common in young bitches and clears up once they come in season.

My bitch had this a few times before her first proper season.  She started getting a kind of creamy discharge then she got a browny colour for a day then nothing for about a month.  She then got a full season which was totally normal(colour and time wise).  I fugured the other discharges was just her 'preparing' for her first season but not actually a season.

Although, don't leave her with your male unless YOU are 100%!!!
