i am asking on behalf of a friend who is thinking of breeding her gsd bitch when she is 2 1/2 she hasnt had her hips done yet (shes only 11mts) but what is an accecptable score for the breed? and just out of intrest for other breeds?

Gsd mean score is 19, which is the average, so anything under average is acceptable.

awell as being below 19 the hips should be relatively even.Fo example a score of 18 is O.K but if that 18 is made up of R=4 L=14 then this is not so good since one hip is affected to an undesirable degree.
