Did anyone else manage to catch a glimpse of the meteor last night? WOW! We were sitting watching a film(about space funnily enough) when this bright thing went across the sky. It looked quite low and (heaven forbid) but OH thought it looked like a plane on fire but it was moving quite slowly and across the sky rather than falling. Coolest thing ever! Apparently it was spotted from NE scotland all the way to Norwich? And we are on the West coast of Scotland so I just wondered who else had managed to see it?

NOOO!!!!
im bummed i missed that id have liked to have shown the kids. :-(
We saw it in South Cheshire, we reported it to the police as we thought it was a plane. To say I was relieved when we found out what it was, is an understatement.

Ahh thought I saw something but thought it was a plane with bright orange light. Don't know if that was it but I live in South Manchester.

It mentioned it on the news on the local radio this afternoon, apparently Tayside police were swamped with calls about it lol. It also mentioned you might see some more as it was part of a meteor shower.

Oh, that's quite interesting how far it could be seen for! And to think, I thought it had landed just over the hill haha. When I think about it now, we must have seen it just as it was entering our atmosphere as it was bright white and burning. Looked so low down though.

I had been out to pick hubby and 8 year old son up from the train station in Newcastle and when we were almost home North Northumberland my son shouted "There's a fireball in the sky !" I was turning into a junction so didn't see it but hubby musn't of either as he said " It's just a chinese lantern !"
When I checked the news the next morning I realised he must of seen it , no excuses for not writing his weekend diary at school this week ! :)
