Hello, I am new to the world of showing dogs, I have a lovely Bouvier that I hope to show one day (shes only 12 weeks!) but i am a bit confused, what do abbrevations such as AV and AVNSC mean? and what breed/ group(s) of dogs do the apply to? Cheers

AV-any variety.
AVNSC-any variety not seperately classified.

Used when a specific breed is not scheduled, sometimes you get, for instance, AV Toy (toy breeds only) etc

Hi
AV=any variety-wether there are seperate classes or not. These are often split into either group related classes (AV hound,AV working etc) or age or dependant on wins (AV puppy,AV open)
AVNSC= any variety not seperately classified-you can only enter if there are no classes for your breed.
Regards Archer
