my girl is on day 56 she's refused her breakfast but everything else seems normal, i took her tempreture and it is 37.6 , i'm just wondering if she's going to have the pups early, she's had 1 litter before of 10 but was only 2 days early, any advice would be appeciated

Have her with you , have her in the bedroom or sleep where she is meant to whelp and watch her like a hawk....my bitches do 12 hours after a temperature drop but every bitch is so different...good whelping !

Hi my girl is on day 61 today her temperature has been up and down all week, she seems quite comfortable and although didn't eat her breakfast up immediately she went back to it about an hour later and finished it off!  She needed some help on her last litter as although she initially started off ok everything came to a halt the vet said it was inertia as she was carrying a big litter.  I'm so hoping that doesn't happen this time, although the vet is aware of what's going on and I'm with Ellie 24/7!  Good luck with your girl.

My bitches whelp on day 56 as a matter of course!  :-)

As already advised, stay with her, sleep with her - and make sure that everything is ready.  :-)

Any bitches that I have with inertia are spayed.  Seems there is a much higher chance of a section next time.  And I won't knowingly mate a bitch that needs surgery.

You ave to rake it 4 times a day at same time a take not as the temp s different day o night.

Mine go right down to 36 generally and stay there for 12 hours.

My girl has been panting and pacing since Sunday afternoon, first pup was born at 1.35 this morning (Tuesday) she's looking as though she's about to have number 6 (3.50 am) although she is so tired now, she hasn't eaten since a tiny bit on Sunday morning so she must be feeling very weak now, I hope there's not too many more to come!!

Congratulations on your puppies - I hope they are all doing well, we finished with 10 puppies 7 girls and 3 boys - I would have much preferred 4 but she obviously had other ideas!!
