It's  a difficult one!  People breeding for profit will be registering one litter with the Kennel Club, then breeding from a bitch 6 months later and selling pups without papers.  While there are folk around like this, your task isn't possible.  :-(

Have you looked at the KC Mate Select pages?

I know that if the dog you are searching is KC registered then it's possible to find parents, siblings and progeny.  I'm not sure but it's maybe only health tested progeny that show up though - although I can see number of litters (or just the registered litters) for one dog I did a test search on...

Does that help?

If a dog/bitch has any offspring health tested under KC etc health schemes then if you go here: http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/services/public/mateselect/test/Default.aspx (to the Kennel club Health Test results finder) and input the dog or bitches registered name and when you have the result click on 'compare to progeny' on the right, and the page will come up with how many litters and puppies the dog /bitch is parent to (but only works if there is some tested offspring).

Your welcome to try it with one of mine 'Barbelka Eliksyr' (she does have two more offspring put through the testing schemes, but they are in Ireland so their results don't show, but they do show up as part of the litters and number of pups) or a male I bred 'Barbelka Dziarski'.

It will show all registered offspring and litters in the number the dog/bitch is parent of, as long as at least one is health tested so that it is in that database.

As I found out the other week Mate Select are not accurate re litters produced and when and the KC were aware of this when I contacted them.

Dams were down as having litters the day they were born, sires producing litters before they were born or when only 3 months old just to name a few in my breed connected to dogs I owned.

KC says health results are correct.

I think that may have been a tempo ray hiccough as the other week it was showing dams as sires, but it's fine and right now, at least with dogs I am connected with.

Barbara I haven't been back to check as it didn't sound as if they were in any great hurry to correct things.

What breed are you looking at?  Some breeds have their own databases with such information on.

If you go on the Mate Select and look up a dog or a bitch's health results, in the column on the right is results for parents, siblings and progeny, if accurate the latter should tell you how many pups have been produced and the dates that are all the same should be the same litter, it also gives the sex of each pup so you can see if the sire is producing more of one sex than another or pretty even.

There is no uniformity for the date of testing of progeny who are hereditary clear, some get the test date of sire, some get test date of dam and others get their own birth date so you have to know which you are looking at.

Boxacrazy made the suggestion I would have..the BRS is quarterly at £2 each but it does take alot to see what info you need to know...you would need every one from the time that a bitch is at litter producing age!! & then not necessarily get what you require...
My breed is lucky we have a good worldwide archive with 141450 dogs on it going back before the 1940's but that not all whom are registered are on there..

If you go into the health tests for the dog in question,  and on the right you use the link compare to progeny (as long as at least one offspring is health tested) it will show you how many offspring and litters the original dog has sired.

PM me the dogs name and I'll do it for you.

You can buy a report form the KC showing a dog's progeny, but I don't know if this is only available to the dog's owner, or anyone can do it.  I ordered and collected i each for 2 of my  (now sadly departed)  boys at Crufts a year or two back.

Have you been in contact with any of the 6 breed clubs...there may be a database complied by someone in the breed already, which you may not be aware of?
- By denny4274 [gb] Date 02.03.12 12:44 UTC
