Does anyone know the dosing for Ivermectin 1% injection ( given orally ) for the treatment of canine scabies, I have used it myself for the treatment of Demodex a good few years back and seem to remember giving it daily in gradual doses starting from 0.5ml up to 2/3ml over a week or so and then continuing with 2/3ml daily untill the problem goes away.

my neighbours dog has scabies and they can't afford to take it to the vet for repeat treatment of spot on's/lotions and potions for the itch etc ( HUMPH ) I know that you can give it for the treatment of both Demodex and Sarcoptic mange, but do you treat the same..?

Seen as it can spread like wild fire I may need to know this in case my dogs some how pick it up :-(  hopefully not ARRRGGG thats all i need.

No advice on dosage, but if any of her or your dogs are Collies (Rough, Smooth, Bearded, Border), Shetland Sheepdogs, Australian Shepherds, Old English Sheepdogs, German Shepherds, Long haired Whippets, Silken Windhounds and a variety of mixed breed dogs they should not be given Ivermectin unless you know for sure that are clear of the defective MDR-1 gene. This applies whether prescribed by vet or (especially) where not!

Benzyl benzoate kills anything crawling!  Available on line I believe.

The dosages are available if you google it .I would lend them the money to go to the vet .If anything goes wrong ...?

how about bob martin double action, think the ingredients in that are the same line as advocate or is it advantix?? one of the two. It is cheaper at about £10 per box and you get three pipettes. pet shops normally sell it.
