Today is my hubbies last day in te RAF after 30 yrs of service.

He was made redundant when cutbacks were announced in september but fortunately has found a job in Hampshire doing a very similar job with the MOD but as a civvie.

So it's a new start in an area which I don't know at all as we're from the northeast originally.

I can't wait to live in my own home and to be able to pick my own carpets and have wallpaper rather than issue magnolia walls.

I will have to find a new agility club and a new ringcraft club,so would appreciate any suggestions from people in the Waterlooville area.

Hoping that I can find some new like minded doggy people in the area as I'm sure I'll feel a bit cut adrift at first but looking forward to a new phase in our lives

Hope the new chapter of your lives together is exciting, long and fulfilled. It is always a wrench when you stop doing a job you love which is also a "way of life" but it also opens new doors and new opportunities.

I hope you find the wallpaper you are looking for, every time I pick something they discontinue it!! ( not saying that my husband is slow to start!!)

Ah, but change can be exciting as well as scary - here's to many a great new friend, and decorating encounter, ahead!

And well done your OH on getting another good job in these uncertain times.
