Hi there
I am looking for some words of wisdom....We recently got a new addition to our family, a Scottie pup called Jake. He has been an utter delight and still is, my question is simple, when we brought Jake home at 8 weeks old we decided to put his bed in a cardboard box next to ours so that he would feel secure but also to assist in the house training process. This has worked a treat, Jake is now 11 weeks old and seems to be growing infront of our eyes. What is the next step for the night-time? What should we do next as he's out-growing his box? Where should he sleep and in what? He still wakes once a night. We also have a 2 year old Scottie bitch who sleeps upstairs with us. Many thanks.
I had all mine upstairs as pups in a small cage/cat box (3 scotties in all), when they got too big i transfered them downstairs into the kitchen but a bigger cage and used a baby monitor to listen out for the early morning wee call. If you want him to stay upstairs at night perhaps just a bigger cage so he's not wondering about and tiddling when he feels like it.
