Can anyone recommend a sonographer in the East Anglia area who can accurately read the number of pups please?  I spoke to our repro vet today and she said that there is someone called Sam who ultrasounds sheep and dogs day in, day out, and she is spot on with numbers, but she didn't have her number....

Look up Kelly Harrison, she might be able to help (she did us and we're in Norwich). However it's hard to tell on numbers, she gave us an accurate number but I think the later it gets the harder it is to tell? I've read never to go by numbers on a ultrasound, anyway, as it isn't the most accurate method.

Kelly is lovely and very friendly, and not too expensive either. :)

I would only use early scan to confirm pregnancy not numbers as pups can be absorbed up to 7 weeks into the pregnancy without any outward signs that anything is going on.

I had her scan a bitch nearly 5 years ago, she was spot on for numbers and know many people are happy with
her services and accuracy. She even advised asking my own vet for antibiotics as she spotted one non viable feotus
that wasn't developing properly and questioned possible infection thus potentially saving the 7 pups that were born later on when they reached full term (as I heeded her advice and got antibiotics from my vets after a visit).

Would definitely use her again when I have another litter was very pleased :)

Thank you very much, I think Sam Wilkinson must be the one. After a lot of searching online last night, I managed to find her mobile number but didn't have the landline so will also try that.  I have found nothing but praise for her so thank you for the details.

when i was in ipswich we used sam, nice lady and very quick. we met up with her on her way back from scanning someone elses dog.
