We are going to be having a new puppy, of a completely different breed, not even in the same group and whilst I am looking forward to learning to show my new puppy, as they are handled differently from my present breed.
I am just wondering how I am going to manage to show two breeds on different days.
Those on here who have more than one breed could you give me any tips. I was hoping to buy a campervan in the future but I need to do a bit more saving first, so for a least this season I will need to travel by car and most of the time on my own.
Which shows have a unentered dogs tent ? And has anybody used this facility ?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

It will probably work out cheaper to camp at the show than travel on successive days unless the show is on your doorstep.
A second hand Caravan can be bought at reasonable cost, or you could always pitch a tent and one for the dogs as the pitches are big enough for a van and awning, and enclose with windbreaks to make a dog pen (often using puppy panels on the inside so they can't sneak under)
There are of course those posh rigid canvas and metal framed windbreaks.
I don't think I would tow a caravan, not something I have ever done and I think I might find it difficult on my own.
As for camping again pitching a tent on my own might be difficult, and not sure if at my time of life it would suit me, I do like my comfort. I have stayed in hotels or B & Bs with the dogs, but it is more what do I do with the other breed whilst showing the other ?
Would it work to leave the dog in a caravan or campervan, I assume they are better insulated than a car and have better ventilation, so not the same problem of leaving a dog in the car, something I would never do.
Sometimes my husband or a friend comes with me to shows, but it is not always possible, so I suppose sometimes I would just have to choose which dogs to show on which day.
One reason for adding another breed is to make life easier as I get older, but I am not ready to give up my exsisting breed just yet.

Unless both my breeds are on the same day (and that is very rare -I can only think of 2 champ shows that happens at -I have pastoral and toy) I don't show both at the same show. It's just too expensive, too much hassle etc. I like to have one day show free at the weekend -to see my kids, do any of the million jobs at home etc. Of course, it helps that one of my breeds only has tickets at a small number of shows, and the other has it at all shows. Makes it easy to pick.
For open shows I sometimes enter both breeds if both have classes, but I have to make sure to have at least two handlers in case classes clash. (In fact most of the time we are 3 and it can be needed -one each in two rings and one outside with the other dogs!) We have one open show coming up where I have 3 of one breed and 2 of the other entered!

I gave up trying as my two breeds were hardly ever scheduled together and even on those rare days, at opposite sides of the showground.

I have gundogs and toy breeds! Very rare that they are together. It's great if you can camp. Word of warning some shows charge you for a full week, I know that at Blackpool they do this and luckily there's a camp 2 minutes down the road with better facilities which is a lot cheaper..... I prefer the shows where you can pay per night than forking out a load of money for a weeks stay.
