I can't remember who else was asking about using it in a carpet cleaner, but I've just used Mistral ( spearmint ) in mine and it's worked fine, it made very little foam, which I think is what can cause problems in the machine, it really only made a bit of foam when i used the hand tool.
I got loads of muck out and now the whole downstairs smells of spearmint.
I asked about this a while ago - just checking if you had to buy the manufacturers own brand stuff. I opted to buy the carpet cleaner from Mistral it's so cheap and works really well - the only trouble is that they don't have the range of smells they have in OdourFresh. I ended up with Lavender which is OK but possibly a bit toilet cleaner ish at first whiff!
I like Spearmint and Eucalyptus OdourFresh the best so perhaps I should have just used those...
Thanks for the update :)

You have impeccable taste dab. :-)
I always buy the 4 pack - 2 each of Spearmint and Eucalypus. :-)

Is it still just over £30 for the 4? Have looked on Ebay and their own site, no difference in price.

I paid just under £30 for my last ebay purchase. I know it worked out at under £7.50 per 5lit.
On my last one, so will be re-ordering soon too.
Just looking at there site now under which section does it come under? Also has anyone tried their shampoo?

It depends which site you've landed on, there are a couple, I used this one
http://mistralie.co.uk/ if you look at the bottom of the list on the left there's a pet section

I just checked on ebay, and you're right, it has gone up a little since my last order. However, £30.98 for 20lit has got to be good! :-)

well I know I'm not complaining lol. I bought the four thinking I might be able to get some friends to take a couple, I could have doubled that order !, everybody wants one, only problem is choosing a flavour !.

Definitely Eucalyptus and Spearmint for me too! I have used the vanilla and it was quite nice - but not quite as fresh smelling :-)

02894 465753 is supposed to be for the Sales Team, I think they're based in Northern Ireland. I couldn't get on their website either (found a cached version).

I still haven't had a reply from them on ebay after I put in my "offer."
Wonder what the problem is. Their website is not available at the moment. Hope it's not yet another company gone to the wall.

Jean, the website was ok on the 3rd when I ordered and I've just had the delivery today so if anything has happened its been in the last week (hopefully not though).

When I checked yesterday, there was nothing to say that my offer had been looked at. I made the offer on 7th. I have just logged in to see that it has been accepted. Went on paypal and paid, and stupid me saw after I had paid that the price was valid until 9th.
Well, we'll see. I was extremely pleased to pay only £29.98 but if I have to pay the extra £2 I will.

Got my order yesterday. Not overly impressed with it so far, I have to say. Was expecting a stronger smell after cleaning the feeding counter surfaces but nope. Also used it in my washing machine but the clothes don't smell at all of the cherry flavour I used. The Eucalyptus one smells like a men's urinal! At this rate I won't be ordering again. Got a lovely bubblegum disinfectant at Crufts that was much nicer (pricey but great smell and lasted too).

Hmmm - never been in a men's urinal ...... so the Eucalyptus won't have those connotations for me :-) What concentration of the disinfectant did you order - there are different strengths i think.

The only one i kept from my order was Spearmint, smell lasted pretty well, I used it to soak Spuds collar as he'd been messing about in mud and it smelt lovely for ages afterwards.

>What concentration of the disinfectant did you order - there are different strengths i think.
In all the years that I've used Odourfresh I have never seen or heard of a choice of strengths.
You dilute to the strength that suits you.
>In all the years that I've used Odourfresh I have never seen or heard of a choice of strengths.
There are two -
Odourfresh Plus Premium and
Odourfresh Standard - same size, but different in price. I've read their info a few times and can't see why it's different but I've always assumed the strength...

It's the normal one - can't see any references on the bottles to Plus Premium or Standard.
By JeanSW
Date 12.02.12 22:03 UTC

ok thanks dab, I didn't know there was a plus premium! I guess you dilute it yourself the same? Anyways, I do tend to dollop it in, so use a strong solution. I love it when I can smell a delicate whiff without it overpowering, and I think you do need it pretty strong if you like to be able to smell it after.

I have been using it neat on the food feeding worktops because I wanted to be able to smell it (same as pouring it neat into the washing machine) but to no effect.

Well my delivery arrived today, at the price I offered. Unusual that I didn't get their normal "thanks for payment" via ebay, but I am happy. Took about a week in the end.

Does anyone know if Odourfresh is suitable for (sealed)wooden floors? I normally use a wood floor cleaner, but I'm worried it might be toxic for my dog. What can I use, which would be both dog friendly and wood friendly ?
By Celli
Date 15.02.12 20:17 UTC

I used it on my wooden floors and it was fine.
