This is so lovely. I live locally to the family so am extra touched that the people in my community gave such a wonderful tribute to a very special girl.

Whew!

That made me cry.

Tears here too, when things get tough you can always rely on dog people to do the right thing :) Very touching.
I just wish that people who "knock" dogs and their owners would acknowledge some of the great work that they do.

Sometimes we need to br reminded that there are decent folk out there. How lovely to read. I'm sure Katy would have loved it.

Yes I am crying too it was such a wonderful gesture and to think of the dogs howling for her. I hope she heard them :(:)

What a lovely tribute to a brave girl - I'm sure she was smiling as she heard them howl.

As an aside - whatever that dog in the middle of the picture is - I want one!! :-) (the big fluffy one)

I love him too, Dakko.  I presumed he was just a longhaired Husky...I've seen longhaired Malamutes and Akitas so assumed the same about Huskies.  Could be totally wrong, though.

You do get long haired huskies sometimes but looks more like a malamute to me or could be a mal x sibe.
