Hi
I am hoping that someone from here can help me.
I am involved in fund raising for a team and we are looking at ways that people can donate on-line.
From what we can see we can set up paypal using the managers account and for that transactions will be free.
If someone was able to confirm this it would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

I know on ebay, it doesnt cost the person buying any extra to pay using paypal but the person selling gets charged to get their money from the account..it my differ depending on what type of account one has?? Hope this helps
thanks lexy that's what i thought

It needs looking into carefully. I know a cat group I am a member of was raising money for rescue by having a raffle. If people paid with PayPal and said it was for raffle tickets the rescue got charged, if they said it was for goods (I think) they didn't or it may have been services. There's lots of little possible pitfalls like that that's best checked out in detail.
Thanks for that Goldmali
From what I can gather reg charities are dealt with differently.
I am trying to find out how many transactions a private person is allowed on their account before paypal deem it to be a "business" account but it is not terribley clear.
I wouldnt worry about doing it via paypal, Id do it via Justgiving or VirginMoneyGiving.
You can set up your own page for the fundraising event and everything and it sorts it all out for you.
