So say you have your groundwork done etc, has anyone any last minute tips to improve performance of dog and handler in the ring? :)

Try to relax and be upbeat, have really yummy treats that they do not have any other time, somethign they would sell their souls for.

Always praise your dog and remember you took the best one home with you .....

Pop a small mint in your mouth as your anxiety comes through as a change in your breath that the dog will pick up on.

Be up beat and be sure to give verbal praise as well as the treats.

The only thing I forgot at my first show was a clip for my number, luckily a friend ran in and gave me a loan of hers, you would think the steward would have had safety pins for such incidents.

Good Luck.

Also make sure that you watch at least 1 previous class as to be sure of what the judge wants in terms of movement, ie are they all moved round together, up and down , triangle etc......
Enjoy yourself and try to relax.x
