>It's far from rare for human siblings to have quite physical fights, with bloody noses and black eyes! <

I have to admit this shocked me too.. as far back as I can remember my family have never resorted to physically attacking each other..

Fortunately neither have mine and mine is a large catholic family, LOL

Though the squabbles could be pretty full on, and quite a bit of hair pulled out.

I'm delighted to say that neither my human or canine family have ever had a fight resulting in actual injury. Mr Beastly when he was younger used to fight with his brother a lot, but there was never a single wound, it was all noise and bluster. I agree with Brainless, breed type plays a huge part.

Would just like to say that have tried the pig board thing with a tea tray and it works so much better than grabbing them. I have had two fights since I posted this and it has worked a treat. In fact the last time as soon as the crestie saw it he let go and ran away.

Ah that is great news :-)

So glad any disagreements that may occur between my little ladies are only minor and amount to nothing more than a little grumbling ;-)

I wouldn't know how to part fighting dogs, but if they hated each other that much i think i would have to rehome one. ):

HI there, i use a water spray bottle to separate my tow when they have the odd fight or a water pistol works for me too, but every dog is different.
