On the schedule of a show I've entered it says: "PROPOSED ORDER OF JUDGING will be published in the dog press & on Fosse Data's website." I've looked on the website and can't find the information. Does anyone know where I should be looking? The show is just over a week away.

That's all it says. The show is 29th January, so Sunday week (City of Cambridge).

It will depend on when the entries closed because until you know the entry you can't decide on the ring order. You need to try as far as possible that all rings finish at about the same time to eliminate too much hanging around and empty rings, mind you some show societies are not very good at this and one wonders if the idea has even crossed their minds.

Any way back to the running order once the entries are all in about a week after the closing the show secretary can get round to working out what goes into each ring and when so it may be only a week before a show when the information becomes available.

Entries closed (online) 9th January. When it IS published on Fosse Data where is it actually posted?

If it gets published on Fosse I would imagine that it would be near the show details on fosse - see where they have show information underneath - about the beardie classes - there.

I will check DW for you to see if the details are in this weeks.

Sometimes I think they can't issue info because the time doesn't allow - if there has been postal delays etc.  Although very frustrating - failing that a call to the secretary?

If entries closed on the 9th I would not expect that the judging order would be available till the end of this week at the earliest.

Thanks Toller. Looks like we are after GSDs and Labs, so don't think I'll have to get there too early. Does anyone know how set these orders are? Don't want to get there at 11am only to find we're not in the ring until 3pm or they've changed the proposed order and we're on first.

Normally the only reason that the orders are changed are if a ring becomes available and your breed is moved from a busy ring to an empty one. As an organiser it is impossible to be sure when any one breed will be in the ring, the speed of each judge will differ and the number of absentees is an unknown item. Fortunately it is up to the exhibitor to be in time for their class and if they have to wait they will have to use the time chatting or admiring other peoples dogs and breeds.
