Just looked at the bench sizes cant believe that TMs have 60cm ,10cm more than a chihuahua ,how an earth can that be right when rotties and leos get 80 & 90cm :(

Really, where do they have that info printed?  If that is the case i'm surprised, and it makes no sense either does it? What do Newfs get?

Saw a post with the Crufts logo on Facebook about bench sizes on Monday but didn't read it. Presume it will be on KC website somewhere.

I also saw the post and been trying to find it !

I looked on the KC website and couldn't see it, looked on Facebook but of course couldn't find it. I'm confident that our crates for the Frenchies will fit as there's always lots of space as we're only little dogs!

Thanks Rachel... I can't comprehend still how a TM has a smaller bench than say your Gordons, they have the same size bench as a Samoyed, Crufts really have this one wrong, the size of your average TM is much bigger in comparison to those on the same size benches...

Thanks rachelsetters, that IS interesting--welsh springers get 50cm, the same as Kooikerhondjes and American Cockers, both substantially smaller dogs. Fields are the same size but get 60cm :-(

Someone is having a laugh!

Yes - I did look at a few and thought???? who decided these sizes?
- By rjs [gb] Date 18.01.12 17:22 UTC
and Cockers get nowt! lol

While in the mood I thought I'd drop an email to the organisers asking exactly this, rachelsetters. How on earth is a dog supposed to be comfortable in a slot that size?
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 18.01.12 23:43 UTC
My breed isn't even mentioned!
- By Rhodach [gb] Date 19.01.12 01:08 UTC
There were no Hounds on the list.

I presumed the 90cm depth would cover the length of most larger breeds and the width was to allow for the width of a 90cm long crate used for larger breeds.

Hounds are on page 2.

Just looked at Flat Coats 60 cm?? Same size as a Field spaniel, What, even GSP's have bigger benches...
- By flattiemum [gb] Date 20.01.12 08:54 UTC
Crazy size for a Flattie especially as my boy is a big lad and certainly needs more than 10cm more than an American Cocker!!!
- By diddles [gb] Date 20.01.12 14:50 UTC
