I was thinking about possibly doing the circuit this year. I've googled Irish dog shows and anything related and can't actually find the dates and entry forms, either online or otherwise..
Can someone help me please.

Thanks for that, but can't see anything which tells me what dates the circuit is, I don't know what shows actually make up the circuit :-(
So really I am a complete loss, lol

Munster Circuit 2012
Navan August 18th
Clonmel August 19th
Killarney August 21st
Limerick August 23rd
Tralee August 25th
dates taken from the dog show diary 2012 but the show dates will be listed on the Irish Kennel Club website soon :)

The circuit is a week later this year so the dates that Ginastarr posted are correct.

Thank you all, Rachel is right I can't go due to work and no time off allowed leading up to, including and post Olympics unless for a valid reason, dog showing in Ireland won't be a good enough reason I'm afraid!! :-(. Will have to look at doing it 2013 unless something else puts a blockage in the way!! Will the dates roughly be the same then, if so I'll book the time off now to make sure ;-)

Make sure you have Pets passports when you do go as of Jan 2012 all dogs travelling from
Republic of Ireland (as an EU member) are required to have Pets Passports, microchipped and Rabies jabs.
Although it does state that they won't be carrying out compliance checks.......as neither country have had rabies
incidence...but only for pet owners...wonder how many dogs would be considered not a pet owner..or perhaps any sign writing on vehicles with Affixes etc would mean you are 'commercial'??
http://www.defra.gov.uk/wildlife-pets/pets/travel/pets/countries/eu-countries/

Is it too much to hope that it'll stop the commercial import of puppy-farm puppies etc, if they're in more than 'pet owner' quantities?
Not sure but it just might.....

The
DEFRA page says
From 1January 2012 the requirement is that all pets travelling from the Republic of Ireland to the UK should be microchipped, vaccinated against rabies and accompanied by a pet passport.
As both the Republic of Ireland and the UK have had no indigenous rabies for many decades, compliance checks on pets travelling between the two countries will not be applied. Pet owners travelling with their pets should therefore not experience any change on the ground from the 1 January.

The kennel club in dog papers have also announced that in effect there will be no change for people travelling between UK and Ireland.

Defra website says "should" for Ireland but for the others it says "must"
It's a bit ambiguous what they will consider pet owners....
We did the circuit for the first time last year...great fun! Only one wet show, the rest the weather was great, dogs loved it too!! Came back with my dog on 2 green stars and my bitch on 4!! Missing it this year as our fab accomodation is already booked ( and I wont compromise!!) but will definatly go again 2013!!
Oh dear, I was thinking of this too, as mine can't be shown in the UK yet! Got tickets for 3 olympic events, the dogs won't mind if they miss it I'm sure, but it would be nice to go:-(
